Design and Develop Digital-Age Learning Experiences and Assessments

ReflectionThis standard is challenging in that it requires finding a balance between the current trends in education toward standardization and a need for personalization and responsiveness. The potential of technology to meet individual needs, including diverse learning styles and interests, is vast. Like many of these standards, it requires an intensive investment of time from the designer up front to ensure quality and to build in all the options required for personalized learning.
The artifacts I chose for this standard all relate to online learning. I have included a Pecha-Kucha presentation I made on what a Learning Management System is, along with how it can best be utilized in organizations. I also included a link to an online course I developed that is based on an 8th grade literature curriculum. Finally, I included a research proposal I wrote to investigate the use of asynchronous online courses for annual required training, which would seek to determine the efficacy of online learning for my workforce. |
